He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.
— I Thessalonians 5:24 NKJV

Surviving the horrors of ethnic violence in the Congo, Freddy and Éric found refuge in Quebec, Canada serving as bi-vocational ministers while working for the government. One day, reaching for his computer mouse, Freddy heard the Holy Spirit speak to his heart, “Resign and go back to Africa. I have a work for you to do!”

Having just received a promotion and significant raise, he was shaken and left the building for a walk. Back in the office, he again grabbed the computer mouse only to hear the reverberating words, “Resign and go back to Africa! I have a work for you to do!” His wife was taken aback by the news. “Why would you want to go back to Africa?” she asked, giving a plethora of reasons her husband would be unhappy leaving Canada. Resolving it was indeed God’s will, they willingly yielded to His plan.

Freddy heard the Holy Spirit speak to his heart, “Resign, go back to Africa! I have a work for you to do!

Arriving in Kinshasa, Freddy’s Canadian experience elicited enticing offers and he was soon employed by a reputable company. Then came the loving rebuke of the Spirit, “This isn’t why I sent you back to Africa! I have a work for you to do!” In obedience, Freddy resigned and has since planted five churches with a 6th in gestation. When it was time for the nations180 team to launch the first French-speaking RHEMA Bible Training College in Africa, Freddy was already in place to fulfill a prophetic declaration he’d made over 15 years prior.

Even before leaving Congo for Canada Freddy and Éric had dreamed of going to Bible school at RHEMA. In 2008, their dream came true when discovering that the nations180 founders, Ken and Tonja Taylor, with the support of their partners, had opened a French-speaking campus in Quebec. Their first day as students, Freddy and Éric inquired of the director, Ken Taylor, “Do you intend to start RHEMA in the Congo?” The reply was a wholehearted, “We’ve been praying about that for years! It’s definitely on the radar!” Freddy and Éric enthusiastically declared, “The day you start in the Congo, we’ll be there to help you!”

Freddy Kazadi’s anointed teaching ministry is equipping thousands of leaders in the Congo and other nations of the French-speaking world!

Freddy’s obedience to return to Africa, nearly a decade in advance, put him in position to create relational networks with the most influential leaders in the Congo. This resulted in over 200 churches sending candidates to RHEMA Kinshasa which launched in 2021 with 315 students. In addition to coordinating the campus, Freddy serves as an instructor whose powerful teaching is equipping leaders of excellence that are impacting cities from east to west and north to south across the Congo.

Go to Quebec, establish a base, and from there you will reach the nations of the French-speaking world

In 1989 the Lord had instructed the Taylors, “Go to Quebec, establish a base, and from there you will reach the nations of the French-speaking world.” Only God could devise a plan to ask two American kids to learn French, go to France, then to Quebec, in order to meet Congolese refugees, who would then help launch a ministry in Africa destined to help reach the 34 nations and 11 territories of the French-speaking world.
