Constantly Thanking God for You - Congo and Haiti Report

Ken & Tonja Taylor - Nations180 Foundations/Directors

The Thanksgiving week-end may have officially ended in the USA but, for us, everyday brings new opportunities to thank God for our faithful friends and partners who have helped this ministry impact the nations of the French-speaking world for over 30 years.

As the apostle Paul to the church which had invested so much to help him on his missionary journeys, I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine making request for you all with joy, for your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now… » Philippians 1:3.

GIVING TUESDAY - MULTIPLY YOUR IMPACT

Tuesday November 30 is Giving Tuesday. Would you consider a special gift which will help this ministry reach more French-speaking nations and raise up more wold-changing leaders! We can’t think of better ground to sow into!

you helped launch the first French-speaking RHEMA Bible Training College in Africa with 314 students!

Thank you to everyone who prayed, believed for and supported the September 20 launch which required inestimable hard work and sacrifice on the part of our partners and team. A special thanks to our French expansion team that we are privileged to lead and to Pastors Kenneth and Lynette Hagin whose vision, leadership and commitment to the RHEMA family around the world is an inspiration.

One of the most rewarding parts of this journey has been to see some of the graduates from our other French-speaking campuses playing vital roles on the team here in the Congo. It was also great to have Liliane Vernaud and Donato Anzalone, ministry colleagues we’ve worked with for over three decades, ministering to the students.

It was especially moving to have Pastor Ken Mafu with us as an instructor. He is the Rhema Québec graduate that has succeeded us as senior pastor of the church we pastored for over 23 years in Canada. Born in Kinshasa, he grew up in Québec and had not been back to the Congo for over 38 years. It was truly touching to see the way in which the students received his ministry.

IN AWE OF GOD’S FAITHFULNESS

“He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.” 1 Thessalonians 5:24

Tonja and I stand in awe of how God is bringing to pass the vision that he showed us over 30 years ago. With each new open door and each step of faith, God is bringing His plan to pass.

In 1990, we sensed the Lord speaking to our heart, “Go to Quebec and establish a base (local church) and from there you’ll be able to reach the other nations of the French-speaking world. From France, to Quebec, Canada, to Haïti, to the launching the first RHEMA Bible Training College campus on the continent of Africa in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, we have seen His faithfulness.

As we’ve worked closely with our ministry colleagues John & Laura Madan and our expansion team, we’ve seen 12 French-speaking RHEMA Bible Training College campuses launched in Québec, France, Switzerland, Haiti and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Over 1,100 French-speaking leaders have already graduated from these campuses and that number is set to increase exponentially in the coming years!

This vision is way too big for us to accomplish alone. We know that God has called others to come along and partner with us! None of this would be possible without the faithful prayers and support of people like you!

You helped serve over 4,000 meals to earthquake victims in Haiti!

“Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone—especially to those in the family of faith.” Galatians 6:10 (NLT)

Thanks to the generous contributions of our 180partners and a significant seed from Kenneth Copeland Ministries, we’ve been able to mobilize RHEMA Haiti graduates in three of the hardest hit regions of the nation to help with distribution of thousands of meals to desperate families.

As meal distribution continues, we are moving into the next phase of the relief plan during which we will be helping to repair/ rebuild homes and churches of RHEMA Haiti students and graduates who were affected during the quake.

Keep the People of Haiti in Your Prayers

Though we were required to postpone their official graduation ceremonies, in August over 250 students finished their three year diploma program. A new crop of 264 students were slated to start their courses on October 28 but we made the difficult decision to postpone until the security situation in the nation is stabilized.

Keep standing with us! We are persuaded, according to Philippians 1:6, that He who began this good work in the people of Haiti will bring it to perfection!

THANK YOU FOR SENDING US TO THE NATIONS

It’s the men and women, like you who’ve committed to join forces with us in prayer and monthly contribution who make it possible to keep our team on the field, plan for the future and ensure funds are available year round to reach the nations of the French-Speaking world.
