In the Face of Ebola and War, You can expand the reach of these nation changers in the Congo (DRC)
Dear Friends and 180Partners,
Tonja and I want to thank you for your faithful partnership which is raising up leaders of integrity, equipped with the Word and the Spirit to impact the nations of the French-speaking world.
Last year’s launch of our university-level theology and leadership school in the Congo (DRC) was our most challenging and impactful undertaking in more than 40 years of ministry. Students are being anchored in sound doctrine and equipped with solid, practical principles of spiritual leadership.
We continue to hear testimonies from graduates and students whose lives and ministries are being transformed. It’s inspiring to see them bringing the message of the cross and the power of the resurrection into their churches and communities.
Political tensions, war, the recent Ebola outbreak, combined with paralyzing traffic jams, crime, and widespread corruption, make daily life a monumental challenge for millions in the DRC. The spirit of faith our students demonstrate in the face of such overwhelming challenges is exemplary.
TIME-SENSITIVE PRIORITY PROJECTS
As new and returning students begin their academic year on October 27, there are several practical ways you can help strengthen this training and expand its reach:
$4,000 — More “power” to Reach the Nations: A robust battery backup system will provide reliable electricity during Kinshasa’s almost daily power outages. This is essential for our in-person classes and livestreaming courses into other French-speaking nations.
$6,000 — Technology to Equip More Leaders: Two additional computers are required for video recording and editing of classes to train more leaders in more nations.
$3,000 – Round-trip airfare for nations180 directors travel to Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo
$ 16,500 – Campus facilities. Continue providing space for hundreds of Christian leaders to train at live courses in Kinshasa while simulcasting to other parts of the French-speaking world.
Your investment in these projects will have an eternal impact by equipping men and women who serve their churches and communities and who will help transform the Congo and the nations of the French-speaking world for generations to come.
Thank you for standing with us in this vital mission!
